First Day and Presentation Info

Dear 4th Grade Families,

What a great first day of school! It was so great to get to know you child better and start the year off in a fun way.

They should have their planners and a presentation project assignment to show you tonight. Please look at their planners and you can initial it on the bottom of the column if you have time, but it isn't required. They should have it filled out each day though, and it would be great if you talked about the day each evening with them and go over any assignments that they may have.

The first assignment is a fun one: their "Presentation About Me" (or PAM). They can choose to make a Google Slide presentation (we went over the directions for how to do that using Google Classroom in class today) or do it on a simple piece of poster paper. To work on the slide show, they will need to sign into their account on Google Classroom by following these steps:

  1. Search for "Google Classroom" or go to

  2. Sign out of youraccount (if need be) and into theirs using their 7-digit school ID

  3. Enter their password: "darting1819" (will be personalizing it next week)

  4. Go into the "Presentation" class and click on the "Presentation About Me" slide show

  5. If need be, the directions page are there in the Google Classroom too

  6. It will save automatically

  7. It is due Tuesday, Aug. 21st

Remember, they can do their project on poster paper too, if you prefer.

Thanks again for giving me the pleasure of teaching your sweet kiddos! I look forward to working with you all this year and listening to their presentations starting on Tuesday. Don't forget, Monday is a modified testing day, so be sure to bring you child at their assigned time slot at 9am, 11am, or 1pm for the whole 2 hours.

See you tomorrow!
